Instead of dumping the baby clothes or related bay / children's / women's items on the tip due to such a problem, we would be extremely happy to have it for our refuges and baby packs etc.
We also know of an incredible charity in Queensland (Knitting for Brisbane's Needy) who would welcome items with open arms too.
If we can't use something, they can.
We never ever sell the items, we donate absolutely everything we get.
The only thing both charities cannot except is soiled clothing; damaged goods (beyond repair) and faulty white electrical goods.
This way we help the environment; companies don't get a bad name for wasting good items that can be used; we can use it to help many people who have nothing and it promotes a great community spirit across Australia.
