It contained several kids lunch boxes and bottles so they can start the new school season, as well as nappy rash creme for the babies; bubble bath; dolls; cosmetics for mum; 30 toiletry bags and a host of other goodies they needed urgently.
I have started up a second box to go out in 3-4 weeks to them with baby sleep sacks, small girls underwear and other items they needed.
Our next deliveries in 2-3 weeks are 200 hat, bootee and NCIU smocks in blue and yellow for Careflight NSW; a care box for them; a half size care box for Bathurst Fire Brigade whom our committee and supporters 'adopted'.
Plus 200 hat, bootee and smock sets for NSW Ambulance.
We still have 50 full baby sets to make and send to Goulburn NSW Hospital and a crew care box for Careflight NT.
Currently, we need a large donor or sponsor to take many boxes up to Darwin in one go during the year for the Royal Darwin Hospital. This also includes Careflight, Katherine Hospital, the Tiwi Islands and another remote Outback clinic that Careflight services.
Our paper work has been done to incorporate and is ready to be sent off asap so that we can hopefully get a govt grant. Our extremely wonderful accountant and auditor Leanne Smith has helped me tremendously with all the paper work.
After having 3 minor strokes last year, my mind isn't as fast as it used to be.
