This week saw the turning point for our charity when we inducted a new committee member Samantha Kiss into our committee.
Samantha's feet hit the ground running and has already started fundraising by selling the old traditional jelly babies in her shop to donate all the money to our account.
Not only that but she has also donated a top of the line push bike and clothing for several sizes over 2 to auction on eBay soon.
We are in the process of seeing if we can get an ACN and great tax benefits as we already have a Authority to Fundraise.
New member Rachelle Herron is also about to start a call out over the next few months for crocheted granny squares 30x30cm, any colour, 8ply wool.
Rachelle aims to put the squares together to make a double to queen size bed blanket to auction off on eBay and or Facebook.
We have already started a nappy run to get much needed cloth nappies from preemie Happy Heinys to newborn. We just make felt ones for the deceased miscarried babies for 10-20weeks gestation.
You can buy 1-100 cloth nappies very cheap on eBay. Check out a seller called BountifulBubs who is very inexpensive.
We are also looking for paper nappies for newborns for the nurses care packages in Mamia (only at Aldi) and Babylove (supermarkets and chemists) for all babies born at the hospitals. If the nurses don't have enough, they usually buy it out of their own money due to hospital budget restrictions.
