Our Careflight Hats & Bootees Competition has seen some incredible entries with four supporters clearly in the race and one group who are all trying to out do each other.
Not many entries from many people but those who have entered; have done well and had a lot of fun in the meantime.
We are currently photographing the many donations by Knit4Charity; an extremely wonderful bunch of hard working women around Australia who help many charities out with their gorgeous creations.
On the same agenda, we are slowly packing up Careflight hats, bootees and NCIU sets to send Careflight NSW. We will be asking for the sets all year round and they can be made in any pattern what so ever as long as the hats and bootees are a set and are in blue and yellow or light blue and lemon. The NCIU smocks are also in blue and yellow and are sewn. We can find people to make them if you cannot sew them.
We currently have enough:
* Organza bags
* Cellophane bags
* Soap
* Baby garments
* Refuge related items
Until February 1, 2014.
We really need:
* A heap of Indigenous baby garments in red, yellow, black/red/yellow; and blue, green & blue/green/white - the Torres Strait Island flag colours.
* Small, medium, large preemie and newborn hats in blue and yellow - any pattern, any combination of these two colours.
*Blue and yellow NCIU smocks - plain or patterns but in those colours.
* NCIU smocks (sewn, have pattern) any colours, any patterns.
* Brand new cuddly toys up to about 45cm tall. (trauma toys for kids and babies)
(knitted, crocheted, sewn or bought).
* All types of yarn and wool, especially acrylics, blues and yellows.
We need the Careflight hat/bootee sets and the Careflight NCIU smocks over the next 4 weeks as well as toys but any of the other requested above it is fine to send after January 31st, 2014 please.
