Yesterday I finally finished photographing the donations so they are all up to date. I only have to upload some from the Dandelion Support Network later today as I have a major meeting and luncheon with our patron Michael and book keeper Leanne.
I'm still waiting on a box of donations from Greens Pty Ltd (AKA Lowans Pty Ltd) and that maybe about it.
The Dandelion Support Network is also sending two boxes for us to give LFE (Lambing Flat Enterprises). A huge thank you to Cowra Freight for giving them free freight via our charity.
Speaking of Cowra Freight.....Danny has just arrived with two boxes - one from J.Pearce from Frenchs Forrest and one full of blue and yellow NCIU Smocks with The Dandelion Support Network on them. The smocks are most likely Jodie Dean's from Queensland.
I have to leave the other box until later to open and photograph as I have zero room to do so. I decided to lay out all the bootees, socks and jumpers for our little darlings so I can do more sets to pack up today if I feel better. Just 5 broken toes, a fractured ankle and foot and a major foot and leg infection to go.
FYI for next year - we will only be accepting royal blue and golden yellow smocks for Careflight sets as it is their colour.
We are also doing all red and all white for other packs but not red and white for NSW Ambulance. We have now donated all 80 packs we had for them; to remote clinics in Outback Northern Territory.
As far as we know, maybe apart from trauma toys, we will not be sending anything else to Lake Cargelligo Ambulance in NSW.
They apparently have enough items now.
Secondly, we do NOT accept any second hand baby or adult clothes and toys (apart from Careflight bears which we get steam cleaned) for our babies, kids or adults.
We recommend that if you are trying to get rid of these clothes, make sure they are washed first and throw away any stained or ripped clothes and toys then contact DOCS (dept of Community Services) to donate them to your nearest refuge for women and children in domestic abuse etc.
